Randall P. Brett, Attorney

Randall Brett is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and before the Federal Courts in New Jersey. His practice areas include employment law, business law, corporate governance, negotiation of commercial agreements, and civil litigation. 

In his employment law practice, Mr. Brett has represented clients in both federal and state courts, litigating employment claims under Title VII, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act and common law claims. He has prosecuted or defended administrative charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights. In the commercial law arena, Mr. Brett has successfully resolved complex commercial matters, litigated civil complaints and has represented clients in a wide variety of business negotiations.

In addition to being a practicing attorney, Randall Brett is on the adjunct faculty of Rutgers University School of Law, where he teaches a course on Employment Litigation. He also speaks on various legal issues before business and education groups.

Mr. Brett received his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law and has a Masters of Management (MBA) degree from Northwestern University.  His Bachelors degree is from the University of Illinois.

Prior to forming his practice, Randall Brett was an associate with a major New Jersey labor law firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Brett was Vice President for multinational corporations in several industries, playing a key role in international operations. He has been a senior executive in two consulting companies.

Randall Brett is the former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Section, a current delegate to the General Counsel, and is active in several professional and civic organizations. Mr. Brett has written many articles for professional journals and is frequently asked to serve as an evaluator and judge in state and national moot court competitions. He volunteers his time providing legal services to non-profit groups representing disadvantaged individuals and families, civic and arts organizations, and environmental/conservation interests.
